I can now FINALLY write this review (and be the first on Yelp) since we have been back and forth with management since our stay in June for a week and a half. To start, in our first room, the bed support completely gave out. The entire bed collapsed. Shocking, I know. It took them two full days to get us into a new room. Edwin moved us to a higher floor and room, only to find the Air Conditioner was completely broken in the sweltering DTLA heat. We were then moved, AGAIN to a different room, and had to move our many belongings from room to room after being locked out of the previous one. All this, and finally thinking things were normal now..only to have the HOT WATER to be COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. We were without hot water for our remaining TEN NIGHTS. Sonder owned this building before, if you do a quick search on the address. There's a reason they sold it to Wyndham, it was clearly a wreck to begin with and does not even offer basic functioning items like AC and hot water. The lack of maintenance, repair, and staff strength shows in the experience we had. The hotel begrudgingly offered us 50% of our stay back, which was still not acceptable, after at first completely denying any wrongdoing on their part, even though we raised all concerns to Edwin and he knew everything first hand. In addition, get ready for the loudest experience of your life where you'll be kept awake from screams and sirens. Sound machines help but it's still insanely loud. It's a true shame this historic building isn't kept in better shape, it has so much potential. Better windows, fixing plumbing issues, and general overall maintenance would have made this a really neat experience. I will say, the door guy was the absolute nicest guy, always making sure to help with luggage and saying good morning and rushing to open the door when we arrived. He was the highlight of the entire stay. The area also, pretty sketchy. I wouldn't feel safe wandering south alone. For some particular reason 7th ave going South towards Broadway is a lot rougher than others. It is central though, a couple blocks up and you have great restaurants etc. like Joey and it's much safer (feeling at least). If you're only there a night or two you might be fine, but definitely don't recommend for long stays or if you like hot water.

Pros: Cheapest hotel in the location. The elevator is fast. The place is clean. The bathtubs are deep.||Cons: I have multiple bad stories to tell so I'll try to summarize.|- Uncomfortable cement flooring|- Loud AC fan|- Minimal and disorganized staffing. They'll wake you up at checkout even if you request late checkout.|- Windows that do not keep out loud street noise and window shades that do not keep out bright light pollution. If you require darkness and quiet to sleep, bring a face mask and ear plugs, you won't be able to sleep well here.|- Despite being cheapest location, it's still overpriced for what it is.|- Amenities were missing and needed to be requested.|- Beds are uncomfortable and the bedding is thin. If you ask for more, they give you a dog blanket half the size of the bed and call it a day. Don't go when it's cold or if you like heavy blankets, the best you'll get is the AC heater.|- Hot water is limited, you'll get about 2 regular length showers before it goes cold. Even though the tubs are deep, you might not get enough hot water to fill it up.|- Shower pressure is almost non-existent. Hope you like gravity showers!|- Our toilet seat wasn't installed properly, making for a slippery time when sitting.||All in all, a hotel that gives you a condo, with condo amenities like washer/drier, kitchen, and even a study room, but stops short of actually fulfilling a real list of desired qualities in a living space.

At 3pm at the hotel reception, after we arrived you informed me that none of the ACs are working. This is really bad hotel management. We should have been informed previously that AC was not working. This has caused us a major disturbance in our plans and we now have to pay a lot more for hotels and are unable to find suitable hotel rooms in the area.

Amazing experience. Stayed here with my wife in the 1-bedroom suite for the weekend. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and a nice gym. Centrally located, in downtown LA.

They canclled our reservation for a two day stay with via email with barely 24 hours notice. The only explanation offered was "maintenance". At the very least cancellation on such short notice deserves a phone call to make sure the message is received in time. This is not a trustworthy business. I will avoid Wyndham in the future.

Please be advice I stayed for 3nights on the month of June left the room clean and picked up after myself! No damage to room at all and my refund has not been return $50 per night that’s $150 I waited! A week still no refund I went again for 1 night and it’s been 5 days! I have not received my $50 for that night that’s $200 I called front desk no help! I would’ve seen my refund on my Wells Fargo account! That called stealing

My stay was great! The hotel staff was very accommodating and responsive, and the outdoor terrace was fantastic.

Very good modern rooms...basically hipster apartments in Jewelry district of downtown LA. Park at the LA athletic club across the street and u r good. Fully stocked kitchen, modern sofas. slightly scqry neighborhood at night.
